My last Chemo Treatment was today, I hope ! It went well but long as always. I spoke with my new Chemo Oncologist because Dr Horiba is on Maternity Leave now. She expects this round to give me pretty much about the same side effects but they will come sooner, except for the facial sores may be worse this time. I need to go back tomorrow for a shot in my belly that will help control infection,You must wait a full 24 hours before recieving this injection, I cant remember the name of it. I am suppose to get more Neupogen Injections but I cant afford them since my Catastrophic Ceiling started all over with the new year and the co-pay for the injections alone are $825.00 so I will NOT be getting those shots this time, but the good news with that is no side effects from the injections if I dont take them. I will have to pick and choose what meds I get refilled this time because of having 6 scripts to fill and they are all very expensive.
Also Dr Burrows is reviewing my last Cat-Scan to see if more surgery on my chest wall is necessary to remove the adhesions and scar tissue that is ultimatly causing my chest pain.
Whats next ? Basically I just let the Chemo run its course and in about a month or so they will re-scan me to look for any progression of Cancer Cells and to see if it has reared its ugly head anywhere else including major organs. So....hopefully this is it !
