Today is Wednesday so this coming Friday Sept 11Th I have a clinical appointment with my whole team of doctors. Basically we sit down in a very organized and systematic procedure and we discuss with the team Dr.Greenwood's findings from last week, hopefully they concur. It really is a very impressive process.
Dr.Burrows my Thoracic Surgeon has the helm now and is in charge !
Then we will discuss my path forward and then set a surgery date for the removal of the mass and my Esophagus. I have a few questions for Dr.Burrows like what to expect waking up after surgery, life after surgery and even my odds of buying the farm on the OR Table.....things like that. I'm anxious for the clinical but not anxious for the surgery. I'm going to try to push the Surgery date back until mid to late October, Its been a very tough summer for me, I want to try to get a road trip in before then just to clear my head and catch a breath of fresh air before surgery.
Just to refresh your memory, Dr Greenwald is my Gastroenterologist, Dr.Burrows is my Thoracic Surgeon, Dr Kim and Dr Suntha are my Radiation Oncologists and Dr Horiba is my Chemo Oncologist, each and every one is awesome.
