Good Morning this is actually Gary updating my blog, thanks for taking charge and doing a great job for me Debbi !
Im having a great day so far today. I am still not sleeping well but I do feel good.Debbi has been sleeping with me here at the hospital, running to work and back and fourth to home, shes so exhausted.
Im out of ICU and on what they call The Step-down Department.They had me up at 0400 this morning to change dressings which was a fairly painful ordeal. We then got out of bed for the first time and took a walk around the nurses station which felt so darn good. Im logged on and filtering through emaials.Im not sure what is in store for me today but Im hearing rumors that if my improvment continues at this rate I may be on a regular floor soon. I have leak test of my Esophagus on Friday, if that goes well I may actually be allowed to drink and maybe eat something this weekend.
