Yep I'm home ! Debbi got me home Thursday afternoon and I am glad to be home. I was running a high fever which is dangerous for Cancer patients. The Doctors were able to reduce the fever fairly fast but they were never able to indentify what was causing the infection that provoked the high fever. My White Cell count was so low they were surprised that I didn't get sick sooner than I did. They had pumped me so full of so many different drugs and fluids that I was actually sicker in the hospital than at home. Not to mention you never get any sleep there, they wake you up every 2 hours to check vitals and just to poke and prod.
I'm home now and feeling better. I'm still very fatigued but the nausea and vomiting has reduced by 75%. My weight is also dangerously low but I hope to bring it up soon ( 140 lbs ) but I still have the pain in my throat from the radiation, but I was able to eat 2 strips of bacon this morning with 1 waffle and I had a small piece of Turkey this evening and so far all is well with that.My Oncologist put me on Adivan which I take before bedtime, wow it relaxes me and helps me sleep, I am sleeping right through the night with the Adivan.
