Just a thought
I love all of my friends and family and the support all of you have given me. I also appreciate everyones opinions, stories, thoughts and honesty you have with me, I want my freinds and family to tell me what you think !!!! .
I was told last night that Esophageal Cancer patients only have about a 15% chance of living past 5 years. Well shes pretty close.
I am an optimist, but I also am a realist, can I be both ?
Esophageal Caner is one of the most aggressive and malignant tumors to beat, this is TRUE ! Currently the odds of beating Esophagus Cancer with a mass size that I have ( 3 cm ) , a staging of T3, and lymph node involvement is low. The odds are against me. I know that ! In stage III, the cancer has progressed beyond the wall of the esophagus and nearby lymph nodes to surrounding tissues, Twenty to 30 percent of patients in stage III who receive both chemotherapy and radiation are likely to only survive between three and five years. Thats a fact ! And if I require the removal of my Esophagus the odds drop even farther, thats a fact !
But with all of that said, I can literaly sit in front of my computer and read horror stories about Cancer all night long and well into next week, but ya know what, for every horror story I read theres also a success story. I’ve always colored outside the lines, and Ive been called stubborn and hard headed ! There is no doubt Ill beat these odds .
